The extremely popular Stellenbosch Wine Festival is taking off with an expanded ten-day program next year from the 25th of January to the 3rd of February 2013. Over 150 farms and countless gourmet eateries will be showcasing their finest produce influenced by the seasonal change of the event. The new Cape Town Stadium has become an iconic landmark in the city, and has elicited a great amount of attention and interest since construction started in March 2007. The 68 000 seat stadium will host eight 2010 FIFA World Cup™ matches, but will also be widely used for other sporting events, music concerts, exhibitions and other events. Residents and visitors who want to get a better idea of what it looks like on the inside can visit the new Cape Town Visitor Centre. The centre is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
