Taste of Cape Town 2013

The annual Taste of Cape Town, now in it’s 6th year, is happening on 11 – 14 April at the Green Point Cricket Club. This exciting food festival brings together some of Cape Town’s finest restaurants, wineries and artisanal producers. Twelve of Cape Town’s best restaurants will fashion special menus of starter sized dishes for the occasion, allowing you the opportunity to sample a range of dishes from some of the city’s most acclaimed chefs. MICHELANGELO CCL LABEL INTERNATIONAL WINE AWARDS ANNOUNCES BEST FAIRTRADE WINES On Friday 9 September 2011, the winners of the two Fairtrade trophies were announced at the Michelangelo CCL Label International Wine Awards (MIWA) ceremony at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West. The Best Fairtrade Red goes to Stellenrust Timeless Red Blend 2008, and the Best Fairtrade white goes to Bosman Family Vineyards’ Sur Lie Chenin Blanc 2011. In addition, the Fairtrade Palesa Sauvignon Blanc 2011 (marketed by the uniWines Group) won a Gold Medal.
