The new Cape Town Stadium has become an iconic landmark in the city, and has elicited a great amount of attention and interest since construction started in March 2007. The 68 000 seat stadium will host eight 2010 FIFA World Cup™ matches, but will also be widely used for other sporting events, music concerts, exhibitions and other events. Residents and visitors who want to get a better idea of what it looks like on the inside can visit the new Cape Town Visitor Centre. The centre is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Hour-long tours commence at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. Prices are R30 for adults, and R15 for pensioners and children under 12. School tours are also available, at R10 per child. The tours are run by

The Summer itch has set in, and suddenly Cape Town's Sunday crowds have abandoned Asoka's cosy wooded warmth for Caprice's Camps Bay sunshine life. It's about this time of year that we notice clubs have popped up, things have started happening, and the old ladies screaming at us that "that is not a legitimate parking space", now unfortunately get to do it from out of doors.
