Table Mountain officially one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature

Even though we all celebrated like crazy when our iconic Table Mountain was named as a provisional entry onto the New Seven Wonders of Nature list, some were a wee bit uneasy it wasn't quite official – until now, that is. The Swiss-based New7Wonders foundation has confirmed Table Mountain's status as one of the New Seven Wonders is official, after an audit confirmed the result of a global voting process. More than 100 million votes were received from 220 countries. Phew, now we can really crack open the bubbly. Again! What's Up Cape Town joined many others in campaigning tirelessly for Table Mountain to make the list, and it now joins Halong Bay, Iguazu Falls, Jeju Island and Puerto Princesa Underground River
