The Constantia Valley goes all out for the Constantia Food and Wine Fest

Experience the magic of the Constantia Valley at the Constantia Food and Wine Festival. Visitors to the Festival will be treated to multi-layered culinary delights, local wines, and live entertainment to showcase Constantia as one of the world’s premier food and wine destinations. We do love our food and wine festivals down here in the Cape - they are the perfect excuse to experience a whole variety of tastes and flavours, all condensed in one place. Which is maybe another reason we love such festivals: we're often a bit too laid back to go out and visit each restaurant or winery. The Constantia Food & Wine Festival is back, taking place between Friday 4 and Sunday 6 May 2012 at the Constantia Uitsig Cricket Oval. Which is also convenient for those who don't like travelling too far out of Cape Town. Cloete’s Restaurant

We are told that Cloete's Restaurant at the Alphen Hotel in Constantia has recently undergone a complete refurbishment taking it back to its former historical glory. The restaurant also has a new chef, Simon Kemp. Word out there is that prices are very reasonable - R160 for a two course and R200 for a three course meal. 17 on Loader will be planning a trip any day soon! Tel 021 794 5011.
