We do love our food and wine festivals down here in the Cape - they are the perfect excuse to experience a whole variety of tastes and flavours, all condensed in one place. We are told that Cloete's Restaurant at the Alphen Hotel in Constantia has recently undergone a complete refurbishment taking it back to its former historical glory. The restaurant also has a new chef, Simon Kemp.
