From small towns to big cities millions of South Africans are preparing to braai for their country on Braai Day, held annually on the 24th of September - National Heritage Day. The day on which South Africans across the spectrum are encouraged to celebrate their cultural heritage and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions, in the wider context of a nation that belongs to its entire people. This is a pastime that unites us as a people whether we are standing around a braai with family, friends or even co workers, there is something about the fire that draws us closer together.
