Part time Art lessons to relieve stress

Ilhaam Behardien

Ilhaam Behardien has fifteen years experience as a Fine Art lecturer at a private higher education provider, a Masters degree in Philosophy of Education, as well as being a practicing artist and public art project manager. Her clear life purpose is to live her name which means “inspiration” and inspire new ways of seeing, being and making through her art teaching and her art production. Ilhaam Behardien Ilhaam, who’s teaching ethos is to “challenge without harm”, believes that every individual is born an artist, and that this state of ideal knowing becomes difficult to reach as it is buried under the accumulation of realities such as socio-economic hardship, misconceptions of what constitutes creativity in our schooling

Wake Up & Dream eco friendly toys

Wake Up & Dream

ECO FRIENDLY TOYS Edges are hand sanded so that corners are rounded to make them safe for little hands. Once our toys are smooth, we use non-toxic acrylic paints, but still trying to allow the natural, beautiful grain of the wood to show through. Each block is hand painted, or wood burnt by me in my home studio (so variances occur). Wood is completely natural and untreated. Each set is hand-crafted out of a variety of hardwoods, so there will be some irregularities among them. Organic and eco-friendly, each set is a mix of recycled oak, pine, meranti, teak, pink beech and balau. Wooden toys are very durable, so they can be enjoyed for a life time.
