As we all know, Lady Gaga will perform at Cape Town Stadium on Monday 5 December 2012. The City of Cape Town has put an extensive public transport plan in place to transport concert-goers to and from the event. Gates will open at 16:00 on the day, with the main performance scheduled from 21:00 to 23:00. “The City estimates that 45 000 people will attend the concert, so our best advice to concert-goers is to arrive early, make use of public transport if possible and avoid peak hour traffic,” said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Tourism, Events and Marketing, Councillor Grant Pascoe. The following arrangements have been made: No parking at or near the Stadium will be available. Concert ticket-holders are encouraged

If you know your De Waal Park, you will know about the original Edwardian bandstand, which was initially presented to “the corporation” in Cape Town by the Traders-Market & Exhibition Ltd. in London in 1904. However De Waal Park has not always been home to “her majesty” it was in fact moved from Green Point to De Waal Park where we now have the pleasure of her beauty. SA has already been treated to some of the biggest visiting international music acts this year. In fact, it is bracing itself for even more superstars in the coming months. 2013 looks to be no different, as one of the biggest groups ever is set to rock Joburg and Cape Town early in the new year. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming. Premier concert organisers Big Concerts has confirmed that the 29-year-old, multi-award-winning rock super group will be performing at the famous soccer complex on February 2nd 2013. The legendary quartet will be in South Africa for two shows - the second is in Cape Town at The Cape Town Stadium on 5 February, giving local fans the chance to experience their distinctive songwriting, heavy bass grooves
