David Lindhout-Hunt and Michelle Rieder met in February 2012 some call it fate however hearing their magical musical notes connect seems more like serendipity. Knowing they had a good thing going, the duo decided to grow, inviting equally talented musos, Henk Venter (providing bass) and Tiffany Cross (on percussion) to join Beloved in early 2012. We all know you can’t keep a good thing down, so from meagre beginnings in a small holding rehearsal studio, the band started performing at venues across Johannesburg and popular festivals such as Joburg Pride and Rock The River in Cape Town. What makes 23 year old Nicholas McCarthy remarkable is that he only took up piano at the age of 14, and that he only plays only with his left hand.
