Nicole-Marie felt an instant bond with the women and visited them in their homes in the township of Khayelitsha. More than twenty years later, she still remembers clearly: “When I was first invited to the township of Khayelitsha, during the final years of apartheid, I

WeWood Time Pieces launches in Cape Town.

Now how's this for innovation! WeWood Time Pieces are the most original watches to launch globally in recent years.  The philosophy of using wood, means that the demand for wood will increase, and with increased demand, the company will plant more trees. Many people think that the less wood we use the better; but not if it is wood used through sustainable forestation. If we do not have a demand for wood, there will be no use for sustainable wood, and therefore the forests will turn to office blocks.  Besides the advantages of a wooden watch: that it is feather-light, beautiful to wear, natural, hypo-allergenic and completely free of toxic materials, WeWood South Africa will plant one tree
