Don’t say we didn’t warn you… This year the iconic Rocky Horror celebrates its 40th Birthday and The Fugard Theatre have proudly announced their winter musical production as this awesome cult classic!
Opening on the 9th of July 2013, prepare to rock along to all of your favourite tunes, including “Time Warp”, “Science Fiction/Double Feature”, “Dammit, Janet!”, “Sweet Transvestite” and “Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me”. The musical follows the rather disturbing story of newlywed virgins Brad and Janet, who find all sorts of shenanigans afoot after they find themselves stranded at Dr. Frank N. Furter’s mansion, a transvestite from the galaxy of Transylvania.
Prepare to dress as your favourite character, bring your packet of rice and newspaper, pack your vuvuzela and brace yourself for the hilarious ride of audience participation that is the Rocky Horror. Produced by Eric Abraham and the Fugard Theatre, Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show will open at the Fugard Theatre on the 9th July and play for a limited season.
