It is that amazing time of the year again where we welcome the majestic, gentle-giants of the ocean back to South African waters in Hermanus. Hermanus has to be the best land-based spot for whale-watching world wide, receiving thousands of visitors during whale season to watch in awe as they breech, spout and cavort in Walker Bay.
Sponsored by none other than Two Oceans Wine, a wine brand sold and appreciated globally for their great taste and great value! Two Oceans will be launching a new product at the Fest (drum roll… cymbals)… Quay 5 – the newest member of the Two Oceans family. A red, a white and a rosé, each with an alcohol level of just 5,5% (around half the kilojoules of regular wines). Visitors will be among the very first, countrywide to have the opportunity to enjoy their lively aromas and ample-bodied flavours.
Kicking off on the 28th September to October 1st 2012 the Two Oceans Hermanus Whale Festival is proudly known as South Africa’s only enviro-arts festival, shining the spotlight on what the organisers call “the creatures of the deep”. The entire town of Hermanus comes alive with all sorts of entertainment fit for the whole family during the spring break. Be sure not to miss the Two Oceans food and entertainment marquee.
