Christmas is coming early this year to the lovely little town of Tulbagh on Saturday June 30th and will continue in true Christmas style till Sunday the 1st July. The folks of Tulbagh have got the festive cheer down pat with a full on festival to celebrate a wintery Christmas in July. The town has been painted red and has all the bells, whistles, mistletoe and wine for the occasion.
A number of establishments have a variety of activities and specials running to entertain you throughout Saturday and Sunday. As Christmas is a time for giving the kind folks at Theuniskraal, South Africa’s one and only white wine estate are offering the first 100 guests who purchase wine from their estate a complimetry Dale Wood cheese board, packed full of delicious cheese and biscuits – perfect for a picnic on the estate. Some of the many activities include; hitching a ride with Father Christmas as he heads down Church Street handing out treats to all the kiddies or browse through the arts, crafts, photographic exhibitions, art galleries and quaint shops. A "Rock with Santa Party" on Saturday evening is not to be missed, you can jam to rocking tunes around the Christmas tree.
