Stand Up! A rhino benefit concert

The relentless slaughter of rhino across the country is causing ever greater concern amongst nature-loving South Africans, with many feeling powerless and unable to do anything to stem this tide.

Well, now you can do something – and have a good night out to boot!

Ultimate Events and Concerts for a Cause are presenting "Stand Up, an event in support of Rhino" at Trinity Nightclub in Cape Town on Friday 27 April 2012.

The event is in aid of RhinoProtect, and features live performances by reggae legends The Wailers, Stripper, the Rudementals and Fox Comet, with DJ sets by Dino Psar and Mix n Blend.

RhinoProtect is trying to save rhino in any way possible, and have successfully pioneered the treatment of horns which will make them poisonous to humans, and therefore undesirable to sell.

This technique has been carried out on the rhino at Inverdoorn Safari Lodge outside Cape Town, and will celebrate their survival too.

Doors open at 8pm on 27 April.

Tickets are R235 at selected outlets, or R250 online at Webtickets.

VIP tickets are R420 and include snacks, drinks and a balcony view from the VIP area.

First-come, first-served tickets available at the door.
