The Easter egg hunt is an Easter Sunday tradition for many families, but what if you don't have a garden? Or your kids are just too smart to let the Easter Bunny hide those tasty treats?
The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has organised a fun alternative – the highest Easter egg hunt in the Cape. Hop, the Easter Bunny; Sparkle, the Easter Fairy and the Mad Hatter will be hiding chocolate treats on top of the mountain between 10am and 1pm on Sunday 8 April 2012.
Once the children and their parents reach the Upper Cable Station, they will be given a series of clues to follow in order to find the grand treasure box in the clouds.
Fun activities such as spinning the wheel and diving into a barrel of balls will keep the kids entertained as they explore the top of the mountain – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
The Table Mountain Café and the Shop at the Top will be open and offer a variety of meals, gifts, clothing and souvenirs.
Should the weather conditions mean the Cableway is closed, the Easter egg hunt will take place on Monday 9 April 2012 instead.
Normal ticket prices apply: R195 per person return with children under 18 R95 per person return and children under the age of four free. Tickets are available online at reduced prices – R175 return for adults and R85 return for children.
