Franschhoek Bastille Festival this weekend.

 

 

 

Make your way to Franschhoek, South Africa’s Gourmet Capital, to the Annual Bastille Festival this weekend (16 and 17 July), where locals and visitors will be celebrating Franschhoek’s centuries-old French Huguenot heritage.

10h00 – 17h00: French Corner Market in the Town Hall – a showcase of Franschhoek artisanal food and fare, kiddies activities.
10h00 – 17h00: Fencing in the Town Hall – Professional exhibition matches & lessons.
10h00: The Waiters' Race (Main Road).
11h00: The Vignerons Parade (Main Road).
12h00 – 17h00: The Bastille Food & Wine Marquee.
14h00: Porcupine Ridge Barrel Rolling Competition (at the Food and Wine Marquee).
18h30: Movies at the Screening Room at Le Quartier Francais.
