New Restaurant “Chenin” in de Waterkant – offering Wine Tasting Course.

The new restaurant “Chenin” (formerly known as the “Nose Wine Bar” in The Cape Quarter) will be  hosting wine courses. The course is 6 weeks long and will take place once a week and will start at 6.30pm on Monday 3rd August, and conclude on Monday 14th September. .

The course content includes:-

  • · Wine tasting rituals
  • · Viticulture – the growing of grapes, terroir and different wine regions
  • · Viniculture – the making of wine
  • · Food and wine pairing, featuring dishes prepared by their resident new chef Daniel Heyns
  • · MCC, Sparkling wines and dessert wines

The cost is R380 per person for the course and includes wines, tasting notes and food offered on pairing evenings.  For those wishing to eat after the tastings, a 20% discount on  food bills apply.

    Am currently participating in the Wine Appreciaion course @ Chenin and we are very impressed by the effort Craig is making by educating us about the art of detecting the ‘nose’, palate, colour, terroir, etc.
    Can definitely recommend the course to anyone who enjoys wine.
